Looks like the next chapter of our lives is going to be a little different. We'll make the best of it trying to put a little farm life in the suburbs. Yeehaa! Rabbits, and compost, and gardening! Oh my!

My swiss chard is up, too!! Woohoo! Can I ask why you went ahead and transplanted it? I'm thinking I'm going to keep mine in its "greenhouse" until it's ready to go in the dirt, which won't be for a while. I don't have the space inside for putting them in a window sill. Are you going to be growing these inside now?
I didn't want them to get spindly since they aren't getting any wind on them. I transplanted and left them outside. You don't want to bring them in because then you will have to get them used to the colder environment again. The ones I tranplanted into pots are doing great though. They don't mind the rain one bit.
Oh, I forgot to say I didn't want thier roots to get too wound together either.
Okay, that makes sense. I think I'll let mine get a little more grown before I think about transplanting...we still have a month or so of frosts.
Live and learn...this will be something to consider for those winter-sown seeds that come up early. This has been so cool!
